Selina Nichols, CEO 

​

Selina Nichols is the CEO of Deaf Heartbeat ASL, Inc. She is a SODA (Sibling of a Deaf Adult), who learned how American Sign Language later in life. She has certifications in ASL 1-4 and ASL Medical Terminology from University of Georgia Continuing Education. She has Interpreted at the 2018 Atlanta Comic Con and has traveled to the Jamaican Deaf Village twice on Mission. Her passion is to unite families with hearing and deaf members via sign language. She lives in Spalding County, GA with her husband, Randy, daughter Mckenzie, son Maveric.

Roxanne Hoy, CoFounder & Lead Teacher 

​

Roxanne Hoy is the Cofounder of Deaf Heartbeat ASL and Lead Teacher. She is the younger sister to Selina Nichols.  Roxanne was born Deaf and graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas. She loves educating people about Deaf awareness and is an expert fisher woman! She currently resides in Seguin, Texas with her longtime girlfriend, Maricella.

Maricella Castro, Teaching Team 

​

Maricella Castro is on our teaching team. She was born Deaf in Matamoras, Mexico and is employed at Tyson Foods Inc in Seguin, Tx. Maricella is fluent in both Spanish and American Sign Language. She has a passion for the outdoors and the Deaf Community. She lives in Seguin, Texas with her partner, Roxanne Hoy.
